League Summary

The Spring League at Ripken Academy provides high quality competitive baseball to tournament caliber teams. All games will be played on our world class facility, the Ripken Academy in Aberdeen, MD, which features state-of-the-art replicas of today’s most famous major league ballparks. Teams will also have the opportunity to use the facility to its fullest with included weekly practice times.

Schedule

All teams must agree to comply with game scheduling prior to registration. Teams will play one game per week for the first eight weeks, with games on each Tuesday. Then, teams will play two games per week for the next three weeks with one game on Tuesday and another on Thursday. Each team will receive a spot in the single elimination playoffs.

Note: April 30, 2011 will serve as the age cut-off date. The age of a player on April 30, 2011 will determine their eligibility for the Spring League at Ripken Academy.

13u Format

All teams will play 15 games with the possibility of up to 17. Each team plays every other team twice. Teams will be seeded after the regular season. Single elimination playoffs decide the 13u Champion.

Playoffs

Single elimination. Every team receives a spot in the playoffs.

Practice Schedule

Each Thursday during the season, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm teams will have access to the cages, turf circle, turf rectangle, Double-A and Rookie training fields.
